The "Latin American Association for Multiple Sclerosis, Inc." (Spanish acronym ULASEM) was constituted in Venezuela in July of 2006.
This new organization with sixteen associated countries is the product of meetings and agreements that we (association presidents and representatives of each member country) have been developing for more than a year.
We are separated only by borders, by imaginary lines which will not impede sharing and having things in common, as well as problems and difficulties in common. This awareness finally led us to merge.
There is strength in union. That is why this new organization was born with the commitment to carry forward each one of our institutions by supporting development projects oriented to the search for the best quality of life for people suffering from MS in our countries.
